AP CSA Exam Reference Guide: Object Instantiation & Constructors
AP Computer Science A Standards: Objects are created (instantiated) using the new keyword, which allocates memory and calls a constructor to initialize the object's state. Constructors have no return type and share the exact name of their class. Classes can have overloaded constructors (both parameterized and no-arg) to provide multiple ways to initialize an object. If no constructors are explicitly written, Java provides a default no-arg constructor.
